Sweet, juicy and bursting with sunshine, these peachy margaritas are the ultimate warm-weather sip. Made with ripe, soft peaches and a generous squeeze of citrus, they strike the perfect balance between fresh and fruity with just the right tang.
Whether you’re hosting friends, firing up the BBQ or simply soaking up a slow afternoon, this is one cocktail that tastes like summer in a glass. Cheers to peach season done properly.
INGREDIENTS
3-4 peaches
2 oz tequila
1.5 oz triple sec
1 oz lime juice
0.5 oz peach schnapps
1 oz peach puree
4 cups ice
TO GARNISH:
Fresh peach slices
Salted rim
Dehydrated lemon or lime
METHOD
Peach Purée: Add the peaches to a blender and blitz on high for around 30 seconds, until smooth and paste-like. Strain through a sieve and set aside.
Prepare two cocktail glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping into salt. Fill each glass three-quarters full with ice (optional - I love my margaritas extra cold) and set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker with 1 cup of ice. Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, peach schnapps, and peach purée. Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold and frosty.
Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses. If you prefer no ice, strain before pouring.
Garnish and serve immediately - yum!
