Details

Nashi are large, premium Asian pears known for their exceptional sweetness, satisfying crunch, and incredible juiciness. They're unlike any other pear you've ever tasted.

Approximately 5–6 nashi per kilogram, depending on size. Naturally high in fibre and a good source of vitamin C.

These are the fruit many New Zealanders look forward to each year. In season from late February through March - a short window when they're at their absolute peak, nashi have a devoted following for good reason.

The flavour is intensely sweet and aromatic, the texture crisp and refreshing. Serve them chilled straight from the fridge as the perfect summer snack. Slice them into salads for a crisp, juicy addition. Pair them with soft cheese and crackers. Or poach gently with cinnamon and star anise for an elegant, simple dessert.

Once you've tasted a really good nashi, you'll understand why the season is so short-lived and so celebrated.

Storage

Nashi are handpicked ripe from the tree and don't require further ripening.

Keep them in your fruit bowl for up to a week, or store in the fridge for up to three weeks.

Handle gently - nashi can bruise easily, so store somewhere they won't be knocked around.

We pack and dispatch our fresh, locally grown fruit from Monday to Wednesday each week.

We use NZ Post for all of our deliveries. We offer overnight delivery to North Island customers and two-day delivery to South Island customers.

All deliveries receive regular tracking information via email.
