Packham pears are a classic green pear variety known for their crisp texture, juicy flesh and naturally sweet flavour.

When first picked, they are firm and refreshing with a clean crunch. As they ripen, the flesh becomes softer and even sweeter while still holding their distinctive pear flavour.

These pears are ideal for fresh eating, slicing into salads, adding to lunchboxes or pairing with cheese. Many customers love them for their consistent quality and the way their flavour holds as they ripen.

Approx 7 pears per kg.

Storage

Packham pears are best stored at room temperature while they ripen.

If your pears arrive firm, leave them on the bench for a few days until they soften slightly and develop their full sweetness.

Once ripe, pears can be stored in the refrigerator to extend freshness.

Shipping Info

We pack and dispatch our fresh fruit orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.

Orders placed before 12pm on Wednesday are usually sent the same week, subject to availability.

We use NZ Post courier services and provide tracking details for every order so you can follow your fruit from our orchard to your door.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch.

Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island.

Rural deliveries may take an extra day.

Our fruit is grown by experienced New Zealand orchardists who specialise in producing high-quality seasonal fruit.

Depending on the season and availability, our fruit may come from growers in Gisborne or other well-known growing regions around New Zealand.
We work with trusted growers who harvest and handle their fruit carefully to ensure it arrives fresh, flavourful and in excellent condition.
