Details

The Meyer lemon is the most commonly grown lemon variety in New Zealand.

It’s a soft-skinned lemon with a high juice content and a slightly sweeter flavour than traditional lemons. Meyer lemons are believed to be a natural cross between a lemon and a mandarin, which gives them their distinctive flavour and aroma.

They are smaller and smoother-skinned than many other lemon varieties, with vibrant yellow flesh and excellent juice yield.

What makes Meyer lemons so popular is their balanced flavour - bright citrus without the harsh acidity of standard lemons.

Storage

Store lemons in the fridge to keep them fresh for longer.

If kept refrigerated they will stay juicy and fresh for several weeks.

For the best flavour, bring lemons to room temperature before juicing.

We pack and dispatch our fresh fruit orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.

We send all orders with NZ Post using a tracked courier service.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch.

Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island.

Rural deliveries may take an extra day.

Our Growers

These Meyer lemons are grown by Riverton Orchard in Gisborne.

The region’s warm climate and fertile soils produce lemons with excellent juice content, bright flavour and beautiful colour.

By sourcing directly from local growers, we’re able to pack and send fruit that is fresher than what you’ll typically find in supermarkets.
