Turban is one of the most visually striking garlic varieties you'll come across, with bold purple-striped wrappers that make it as good to look at as it is to cook with.

Inside you'll find 4–7 large, easy-to-peel cloves - generous in size and a pleasure to work with in the kitchen. The flavour is intense and characterful when raw, with a pungency that lets you know straight away this is serious garlic. But apply some heat and it softens beautifully - mellowing into a rich, rounded flavour that adds real depth to whatever you're cooking without overpowering it.

That versatility is what makes Turban such a great all-around garlic for cooking. Equally at home chopped raw into dressings and salsas, sautéed as the base of a pasta sauce, or roasted slowly until soft and sweet - Turban delivers every time.

Each bulb is also suitable for use as seed garlic.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight - a pantry or open basket is ideal. Avoid the fridge, which can cause premature sprouting.

Stored well, this garlic will keep for 4–6 months.

If using as seed garlic, plant as soon as possible for best results.
