Ajo Rojo is something special.

With its striking red and burgundy clove skins, it's instantly recognisable - and one taste explains why it has earned such a devoted following among garlic enthusiasts.
The flavour is intense and deeply complex, with a bold heat that's beautifully balanced by a rich underlying sweetness. Many garlic experts consider it the benchmark variety - the one everything else gets measured against.

Beyond its extraordinary flavour, Ajo Rojo also boasts the highest known levels of allicin of any garlic variety. Allicin is the naturally occurring compound responsible for many of garlic's celebrated health benefits, from immune support to its well-documented antimicrobial properties.

And if all that weren't enough, Ajo Rojo stores exceptionally well - up to 12 to 14 months under the right conditions, making it one of the longest-storing garlic varieties in existence.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight - a pantry or open basket works perfectly.

Avoid the fridge, which can trigger early sprouting.

Stored correctly, Ajo Rojo will keep for an extraordinary 12 to 14 months, making it one of the best storing varieties you can buy.

If using as seed garlic, plant as soon as possible for best results.
