Details

The Avogrey Eclipse is a greenskin avocado - meaning the skin stays green even when fully ripe, so don't wait for it to turn dark. Instead, check for ripeness with a gentle squeeze; it should give slightly, like a ripe Hass.

Inside you'll find dense, creamy flesh with a rich, buttery flavour and a smooth texture that's exceptional on toast, in salads, or eaten straight from the skin with a pinch of salt.

These are medium-sized fruit with a small stone, meaning you get more flesh per avocado than many other varieties.
They also store beautifully - lasting well once picked, which means they arrive in great condition and give you plenty of time to enjoy them at their best.

Storage & Ripening

If your avocados arrive firm, leave them on the bench at room temperature to ripen - this usually takes 2–4 days.

Remember the skin stays green when ripe, so use the squeeze test rather than colour as your guide.
Once ripe, move them to the fridge where they'll keep well for several days.

If you've cut one open, store the remaining half with the stone in, wrapped tightly, in the fridge.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch. Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island.

Rural deliveries may take an extra day.
