Maranui Station is a family-run sheep and beef farm in Ormond, just outside Gisborne.

The hens live in a mobile caravan shed - a modern take on rotational farming that gives them access to fresh pasture constantly. Each morning, the doors open and the girls are free to roam, foraging for grass, bugs, and insects, dust bathing in the sun, and doing what happy hens do.
When they've worked through one paddock, the caravan gets hooked to the tractor and towed to the next - just like the sheep and cattle get fresh pasture, so do the chickens.

It shows in the eggs. Hens raised on pasture in the sunshine produce eggs with noticeably richer, deeper yolks - and research backs it up, with pasture-raised eggs shown to contain significantly more vitamin D, and higher levels of vitamins A and E and omega-3s compared to conventionally raised eggs.

Sold by the dozen. Brown, mixed grade, gathered by hand every day and packed fresh - these eggs don't sit around.

Storage

Keep your eggs in the fridge once they arrive. Best used within three weeks, though they rarely last that long.

Your eggs are carefully packed with protective cardboard packaging and the box is marked fragile to give them the best chance of arriving in perfect condition.

We send all orders with NZ Post using a tracked courier service.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch. Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island. Rural deliveries may take an extra day.
