Malone is a new cultivar developed by Plant & Food Research New Zealand - a large, late-season plum with deep dark skin and stunning purple flesh.

The flavour is very sweet and intensely juicy with a slight skin bitterness that mellows as the fruit ripens, adding a pleasing complexity to an otherwise lusciously sweet eating experience.
A standout feature is its exceptional storage life, so you can work through your box gradually without any rush.

Great eaten fresh, sliced over yoghurt, or baked into a tart.

Storage

Keep unripe Malone plums at room temperature until they give slightly when pressed - they'll continue to ripen beautifully off the tree.

Once ripe, move them to the fridge where they'll keep well for several weeks, thanks to this variety's exceptional storage qualities.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch. Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island.
Rural deliveries may take an extra day.
