Details

Our persimmons are sweet, non-astringent and delicious eaten firm, like an apple, or left to soften into something almost custard-like and deeply honeyed.

The flavour is gentle and complex, somewhere between a very ripe pear and a date, with a beautiful sunset-orange flesh that's as stunning to look at as it is to eat.

They can be enjoyed straight away without any waiting around - just slice and eat.

Rich in vitamin C, vitamin A and fibre, persimmons are as nourishing as they are delicious.

Wonderful eaten fresh, sliced onto a cheeseboard, or baked into cakes and muffins.

Approximately 4 persimmons per kilogram.

Storage

Firm persimmons will continue to ripen beautifully at room temperature over several days - the flavour deepens and sweetens as they soften.
If you prefer them crisp and apple-like, eat them firm.

Once ripe, keep them in the fridge for up to a week.

We send all orders with NZ Post using a tracked courier service.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch. Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island. Rural deliveries may take an extra day.
